SYNCHRONOUS DYNAMIC DYNAMOMETERS

This range of synchronous dynamometer uses synchronous motor technology with permanent magnet rotor.

It guarantees very low inertia, high speed without thermal loss in the rotor (no dilatation of the drive line). Only the stator needs to be cooled. For this reason D2T chose a water cooled solution for the stator.

It can be used for dynamic test (braking and driving actions) by means of the 4-quadrant drive, which can provide back power to the network.

By means of numerical modelling, a bearing choices and an implementation in balance were selected in order to guarantee a high mechanical and torque measurement reliability.

The torque measurement accuracy (hysteresis and non linearity taken into account) is less than ± 0.1 % of the full measurement range.

These technical choices make it possible to increase performance while decreasing the maintenance cost.
